Protecting our customers and our team from COVID-19

Platform Plumbing will continue to provide plumbing services, deemed essential by the government, during the COVID-19 outbreak to ensure you have a safe place to live and work.

This is how Ben and the team at Platform Plumbing are keeping you safe from COVID-19.

Understanding your situation
When you request that we attend your home or business, we will ask the following questions:

• Have you travelled to Coronavirus affected regions or countries that are deemed to be high-risk by the Australian Government?
• Have you travelled overseas or inter-state (within the last 14 days)?
• Have you had possible contact (working within 1 meter or in an enclosed place for more than 60 minutes) with someone who is a confirmed case of COVID-19 (within the last 14 days)?
• Are you sharing a residence or been in contact with someone who has travelled overseas or interstate (within the last 14 days)?

High risk
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, Platform Plumbing will take the following personal protection measures:

• Protective overalls
• Eye protection
• N-95 respirator mask
• Industrial gloves, and
• Boot covers.

​After leaving the premises, the suit, mask, gloves and boot covers will be placed in a sealed plastic bag and discarded in a sealed bin.

Low Risk
If you respond no to the above questions and the team is replacing a toilet or other sanitary fixtures, we will wear the following protective equipment:

• Eye protection
• N-95 respirator mask, and
• Industrial gloves.

Temperature testing
Ben and the Platform Plumbing team test their temperature each day to ensure they maintain good health and are not inadvertently spreading COVID-19 to you and the community.  If any member of the team has a temperature above 37.5° that individual will NOT work.

Additional precautions
The team takes the following additional precautions when attending all customer appointments:

• All work surfaces are wiped or sprayed down with sanitiser during and after the job is finished
• All touch points in work vehicles are also sanitised before and after each customer interaction
• The team will maintain the 2-metre distancing rule at all times
